5 tips for perfect Croatia engagement
Dubrovnik
We start this list with one single most famous location for proposals in Croatia. Dubrovnik is famous because of many things, and everyone visiting it falls in love with it almost instantly. This city is most famous because of its history and well-preserved old city core. It’s often considered as the most romantic city in Croatia and we can’t but agree with this claim.
Dubrovnik is also the place where we shoot most of our proposals in Croatia. There are many micro-locations that are perfect for such occasions and some of them include Srđ hill above Dubrovnik, Lokrum island, Park Orsula… Beware that some of these places might be more or less crowded, depending on the time of the year as Dubrovnik is the most visited city in Croatia, and the season there starts in early April and lasts almost till December.
The best ideas and tips for your Dubrovnik proposal
Neretva river delta
We continue with one less-known location that is located right in the middle between the famous Croatia cities of Split and Dubrovnik. The Neretva River delta is a sandy paradise formed by the Neretva River and it’s famous for its long sandy beaches, something you won’t find at many locations in Croatia. There is one sandbar almost a kilometer long and it stretches toward the open sea. Once you walk on it, it almost feels like you are in the middle of the sea.
Nereva river delta is also the most famous location for kite surfing in Croatia and definitely a place to consider if you would like something different out of your Croatia proposal.
Real story: Neretva Valley couple session
Hvar island
Hvar Island is yet another famous location in Croatia and one of the most visited islands in Croatia. There are many great locations for proposals on Hvar and some of them include St. Nicholas Peak (the highest point of Hvar island), lavender fields in Brusje, Paklinski islands, the Spanish fortress above Hvar town…
We suggest visiting Hvar in the preseason period when it’s not too crowded and most of the locations are empty. Also, the lavender fields are in full bloom during May and it’s something you need to experience when visiting Hvar Island.
